I have been thinking about this for a couple of days, and I think even more than a library aide, I want the collegues excited for collaboration and change.
I think schools are so used to seeing the library function one way that they can't let it change very easily. This CAN be a very exciting time for libraries, assuming people can embrace the change and allow the library to be a vehicle for new ways of thinking. learning, and communicating!
Oh how I wish collaboration worked like they purport in library school! ;-)
Wow. Even more than a library aide. That's big, Nancy Jo! How do you think we can facilitate these changes? What do you see that's working at your campus?
Certified library staff in our school district's secondary schools
